The cooling effect comes from the water-gel texture itself, not from added agents like menthol.  As Chill It absorbs into the skin, it creates a refreshing sensation that feels soothing and lightly cooling, not tingly.  It is especially nice on warm or sensitized skin.  As always, we recommend patch testing before adding Chill It to your routine.
